Re: It's Keon

i was actually feeling pretty hyped about this game, thinking Griggs was starting.  he apparently looked really good in the scrimmages.  figured if he did pretty good and the Oline held up, then we would have a legit shot at this game.

Now that Keon is starting ive actually got a sunken feeling in my stomach and the wind let out of my sails.  i mean a complete 180 degree feeling on this news.  anyone feel the same way?

oh well...hopefully its not bc he's just giving him a chance bc he pulled his redshirt last year and feels he owes it to him and his parents.  if so, then at least he should have a quick hook and pull him upon his first major screw up.  hasn't Griggs been practicing the last week or two, despite his finger?  WTF?!

try to remember I bet it for the middle opportunity....I'll dig up the original post over at the perch as a refresher clinic....

this has played out perfectly.....

I now get to risk a 50/100 to win a dime by taking the mustard birds and the points....

all I know, is I was shocked the line was posted that early.....

also remember, I took us for a nickel against moo-who in last years opener (lucky yes....winner yes)

I tried to start a bettor's thread.....it showed no interest other than scorn from the masses....

Re: It's Keon

Coach Hop said just the other day in the presser he's got three quarterbacks that can play. Like I said earlier, Keon and Griggs will play in the first half and we will get behind by about 10 points. Second half the Cuban Cannon trots out and we ride him to victory.

Then all the bitchin starts on here about all the things he did wrong and the way he wore his uniform.  big_smile

Bring on Ricky Ricardo. If we need to develop a QB let's use freshman

so, are you saying Griggs will really start?  or Keon just starting the first series, play, etc.?  Hop said both will play earlier this week i believe.

Re: It's Keon

Keon may start but I believe Griggs is the QB. Keon may have packages unless he's magically become more cerebral and can now see more than his first option.

Re: It's Keon

I ran into a player parent today and we briefly touched on the situation...he looked perplexed when I mentioned the finger injury.  He had no clue what I was talking about.
He is clearly in the Griggs camp.

This. Keon has started and played a good bit. Scheme for him a series or two and bring Griggs in with far less pressure than a career first start at home against a SEC school. Not to mention Griggs hasn't played in more than a year and never in a D1 game. Maybe Hop knows what he's doing.
