Southern thread

6pm kickoff from Hattiesburg.

http://www.espn.com/college-football/lines

Only 26 point favorites tonight. Unusually low for a FBS/SWAC matchup.

Re: Southern thread

Southern starting a true freshman backup at QB. Better win this by 40-50.

Re: Southern thread

do you see how Griggs is recognizing the Def and changing the plays to pass plays. you see how he is scanning the D on every play as he walks to the line. his passes are shart and leads the players perfectly.

They're screwing with the attendance count. Only counting students that enter the stadium (as opposed to validated IDs). Also far less free tickets being distributed.

Yeah, it's really idiotic. The East upper deck was probably 50-60% full. Usually that means total attendance is pretty high. Nobody sits up there if they can get tickets somewhere else.

Re: Southern thread

I will say this: if attendance is low because we're charging more, then I'm OK with it, assuming we're making more money.

Re: Southern thread

Didn't see that it was the 8th highest grossing game ever, but the Sun Herald reported that it was the 4th highest grossing game AB (After Bower).

http://www.sunherald.com/sports/college … 44432.html

“For us, the gross ticket revenue (for Saturday's game) was the fourth highest since 2008 and concessions had their highest revenue since Mississippi State in 2015,” Pugh said. “There were some positives there. We'll continue to grow it.”
