Re: Love this guy

He hit the nail on the head......College football gives the NFL the month of December.......why? It comes down to $$$. People that control the $$$ drive the playoff setup. The NFL starts rolling out two Saturday games week 15 in December right after Army plays Navy to complete the regular college season. If you take advertising dollars and eyeballs away from 2 NFL games a week for 3 weeks in December, that impacts the overall television deals and advertising cash that the 32 teams divide each year. Since the NFL owns Sunday, and essentially the entire month of December, you need the NFL to give up December in order to expand the playoff to 16 teams. Companies only have so much advertising budget. If they move dollars to college then the NFL will simply have less.

"When Nugget II was found dead that cold December morning, Southern Miss had a serious problem on its hands. The handler who starved Nugget II is presumably still out there, his freedom bought for $2,000 from alumni coffers."
