Why not sure and get a piece of the pie Lloyd? Don't let the lawyers take it.
I'm guessing the statute of limitations has run out by now. We wore leather helmets when I was at USM.

I got a pretty bad concussion when I tripped over a hammock my parents got on their honeymoon. Can I sue Mexico?

It's not even the most important thing in Hattiesburg, Goblet says
Most important thing is probably the graduate school of Speech Pathology. If nothing else, USM definitely taught me to pronounce the letters "F" and "U".

Once this starts happening at the high school level more frequently the game will be forced to change and its not that far away. They just built a 70 million dollar high school stadium 5 minutes from my house.....to compete with the 60 million dollar stadium in the next town over. Sports medicine institutes are popping up like dental offices and nail salons where I live. The high school “kids” now look like true sophomores at the college level and will only get stronger. CTE will become exposed in the under 18 demographic and only then will you see the impact in college and pro sports. Sorry Larry, it’s coming in our lifetime.
]]>Most Australian rules football players and Rugby players will tell you they don't see the necessity of all the pads and helmets. I don't think any of those players have been linked to this CTE.
I think you're right.
What Fedora said has some merit, but football is a game that evolves. You've got American football, Canadian football, two flavors of Rugby Football, soccer, etc.
Even basic crap like downs and the 7 point TD weren't always a part of American football at the college level.
And I wonder if CTE is associated with the emphasis on offense and especially passing that we see now. The pass interference rule (which I hate) seems like something that would just encourage dangerous, open-field plays and other risky situations.
