That’s not necessarily exclusive to Hop.......that’s more of a USM tradition thing

But we have a coach that can recruit good enough to ‘maybe’ beat State next year. That is the most we can hope for in the current landscape.
My take: if he can make it through this schedule with just 1 more loss, I'm on board.

If this fucker can get Louis Smith to stay committed and get the Wright kid to sign as well, we will have one hell of an interior line. Hop just needs to find some Tackles and a line coach and all is well!

Solid post. There is a coaching problem at USM. Hopson is worth exactly what we're paying him, but what we're paying him should be the defensive coordinator's salary, not the head coach's salary. 99beers, tell me where I'm wrong.

]]>Problem is this.....We beat UNT and people will then say it’s just North Texas. Everyone is really blind to the age of this talented team. These kids get 8 more games of experience and you will have a unit that can beat State next year.

]]>Honestly, its a game that Jack needed to build his confidence more than anything. He had two picks. The first one in a weird way ended up helping us with field position thanks to the response by our defense. The second one was a poor pass that we got our hand on but it wasn't where it needed to be.
Auburn has the #16 defense in the country. They are the best defense we will face all season. North Texas has a top 30 defense as well. Only one with a better defense nationally resides in Hattiesburg........
