Alright, have we been over critical of this team so far this season? Looking at our losses we have one bad one against State but we were in all of the others. UNO is good. ULL not so much. Gonzaga is decent and we got robbed of a win on that final day. Tough to really chart who this team really is at this point.
I was going to say that the team just doesn't have the pitching to win even a CUSA championship, but if you look at the stats, the batting has been kind of bad. Brant Blaylock has had the only truly hot bat on the team.
That could be a positive. I have more hope that Wallner's bat will heat up than I do in any improvement on the pitching front.
Then there's the sloppiness. Setting aside teams that I drove to CiCis in a Plymouth Voyager, I'm not sure I've ever watched a second baseman field .891.
Maybe it reflects a lack of ambition. Why stretch out for a play when it's just not USM's year anyway? That kind of thing tends to snowball.

Been bad at the plate and in the field.
