I knew then I was lifer come hell or 'high water'...
This got me thinking about how and why I became a USM fan. That is something I've always just assumed, like a force of nature. Never cared about any other college team.
I think what really galvanized it for me was when Curley Hallman went to LSU. The T-shirt fan circle-jerk kicked into high gear and it really just made me roll my eyes. Never felt any affinity for Baton Rouge or LSU and thought that whole place was a shitshow, but I'd followed Hallman and Favre at USM.
The hire just didn't feel right to me, for either side, but the coon asses just patted me on the head and tigersplained "muh SEC" to me. Indifference to that conference and its WWE version of the game turned into frank hatred at that point.
Of course, none of them ever gave me credit 3 short years later when Curley was sent packing, his career for all purposes over. Look up his post-LSU resume for a laugh.
was at his home finale when we won (18-16 I think) with the entire familia.....the best rubba-dubba-in-smack part was my BiL was an LSU grad...
I'v never seen ~4k be louder than ~80k.....that was another I'll never forget....the silence from the lswhoo fans was 'deafining'....
it's gonna suck when my dyslexic dementia finally kicks into full gear....muh memories

It’s a small change but a necessary change that needs to happen in order to move on from this blemished era of athletics.....the 'triple As' were infinitely better showing strength....then the fags came to play....
the 'triple As' slogan was a good promotion but the problem was we did dot beat anybody at anytime anywhere once we started the 'brand positioning'
