I've inherited dumbfuck-land...

]]>1) the players don’t like the new coach
2) the transfer portal makes it easy to leave when little Susan doesn’t like someone
3) the younger players believe they should play immediately and more often because mom and dad said they were special so they are picking up their softball and leaving
4) one girl who came in as a transfer from Misstake already has a habit of not committing to a program so she is leaving because she believes she is special
5) younger players see what older players are doing and buy into whatever crap the older leaders are selling so they are bolting as well.
When you combine the age of today’s athletes and the dumb transfer situation with “the portal” you open yourself up to this crap. You have “kids” who spent their high school years playing a game they are good at and all of a sudden they are not the star on a team of solid players. They are use to getting everything they wanted in life prior to college so they piss and moan about how life isn’t fair and go somewhere else. They don’t have a clue what your word means or what commitment means and they believe if you don’t like a coach you can essentially get your coach fired by pulling crap like this. I miss the days of honoring your word regardless of the challenge you face. Parents today are the root cause for this crap as well.
]]>The discrimination, affects not only their personal time away from the program but also when they play and how often, how they train, the coaching staff treatment and belief that they should have equal facilities with the men’s baseball program.
Just speculating.........
