Yes, some of the 4chan-esk malcontents who came over from another board were banned for getting personal including threatening a mod. Their response has been to set up their own little fiefdom of bitterness and resentment that seems to be most of all preoccupied with bitching about how they're banned here.

I've told stinkfist to relay to the den of Cains that I would be happy to post a reasonable verbatim blurb and link to the board. But this ******* petty spam bull**** will not fly.

Feel free to keep forwarding me these PMs. That's the quickest way to make the little boys go back to their treehouse.

I cannot for the life of me understand how people can call a message that was personally typed up by a guy who took his own time and money to set up a free message board about their own school "spam." Isn't that, like, the exact opposite of spam?

Maybe someone can explain that to me. Those people aren't coming over here... maybe you can ask them on the other board. I'm honestly curious. I always thought spam was shit like automatically-blasted emails trying to make money selling Viagra or hair growth tonics of whatever.

I still read his board. The two boards seem similar on the surface, but also have very different audiences with different expectations. Ultimately I like to think that this board has a more knowledgeable and connected audience, but I'll settle for "different."

What killed that board for me was not EaglePost alumni infighting. I was really happy when EaglePost migrated there. I just found his board a bit depressing after the posters from Houston, ECU, Tulane, etc. got recategorized as AAC posters.

I get it. USM was expelled from their peer group. But that doesn't mean I want to shoot marbles with a bunch of CUSA 3.0 fans. They're just not living in the same football fan universe as most of us.

You can take that opinion and generalize it to athletics as a whole. USM's now sharing a conference with some very different schools that are in a very different point in their stories from USM. It's not a very good fit.

Quite frankly, the reaction of the gts guy was over the top by banning people that had zero to do with anything.  It was clear that he decided all EP posters were alike and were to be dealt with as one.  Once I realized what he was doing, I wanted no part of that petty shit.  He obviously lurks here and that is a sign of instability.  Once banned, I have zero desire to see or hear anything about that place.  If they choose to post there and not here, so be it.  Personally, I like the LIBERTY over here.  As insane as many of us might be, it works pretty damned well.

So thanks gts for having a ridiculous knee-jerk reaction that caused Andre to set up the most laid back (rules wise) board on the internet!  May all those seeking the same freedom come join us...or don't...we don't give a fuck!
