Nastybunch taking a stand in '12

Anyone else remember the Battle of the North End Zone, in which Anthony Alford offered stinkfist fisticuffs before cooler heads prevailed?

Re: Nastybunch taking a stand in '12

I learned it takes a lot to get suspended if you are a starter at Southern Miss. My team played the football team in the intermural basketball playoffs in the early 90’s. We knew it was going to be interesting when the football team showed up wearing their football helmets to the game. They were good....but our point guard was too quick for them so they took him out with an elbow. Benches cleared.....
All we were told by those in charge later that night was that the game never happened....probably since we had a football game that weekend.
Couldn’t get away with that today since everyone has a camera and a social media account in their pocket.

The coaches let the varsity football team play intramural sports?? Wow, that wasn't even allowed at my high school!

Was this during the Ellis Johnson error?

This was during the early years of Bower ball. Even more surprising was their best player was a white dude, Montgomery.....he never missed on the basketball court....

That surprises me. I wonder how common this is among Division I athletes. If I'm Bower, there's no way I'm letting, say, Todd Pinkston play intramural basketball.

I actually feel bad for her. I'm sure Rickey Bustle tried to sell her the whole "I'll do with Anthony what I did with Michael Vick" thing.

A few months later, Bustle is off making pottery in a padded room at Whispering Willows, and her kid is getting brutalized in every way.

lmao....so many stories over the years....

toss in spygate and the thumb, and you hit the trifecta....

there's also one in there about me yappin' with the ol' goats on the corner when Monk and Carr walked in for the first time......Monk started chiding me like I didn't know who he was.....after about 5 mins of banter, I stood up, introduced myself to both and shared a few red bull/vodkas for the next hour....paid their tab more than once.....he was my kinda guy....

I immediately knew Monk had the cods and chops to resurrect the shitehole of E12L......no differently than I knew battery boy did not....

it are times like those when you find out who's the pussy and who isn't......
