Redshirt sophomore Jack Abraham took nearly all the first-team reps on Monday, with redshirt freshman Marcelo Rodriguez slotting in as the backup and freshman Tate Whatley working with the third team. Though Jay Hopson said at Fanfare on Saturday that he believes Abraham has stepped up as the "No. 1" at quarterback, Abraham said Monday that neither Hopson nor offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson have communicated that thought to him.

I like Abraham in theory at least. I do hope Kwadra gets his situation sorted out. There are people saying crap like "I never want to see him take another snap for USM again" but I don't feel that way. I don't know why he's suspended, and in any case he's been through a lot at / for USM.

They've all been there at one point. Heath Graham had thrown plenty of D-I passes when Bower replaced him with Lee Roberts. Similar statements can be made about Mullens vs. Bridgford, etc.

The game at Appalachian State will be when the rectal thermometer makes its first appearance. With Hopson at the helm, though, I hesitate to predict any game other than Jackson State and Auburn. Funny that those will probably be the two games I go to.

Hop said tonight that Kwandra is eligible to return to The Rock next month and can participate in the scheduled Yoga event provided he doesn’t have any further student affair issues between now and the event. Dilbert said season ticket holders can access the yoga event free of charge with a $10 donation to the LGBTQUXYZ student group.
