CUSA gives up only good bowl game

Guessing our conference champ will play in the Pizza/Meat Bowl in some guy's backyard in Miami against a 4-8 MAC team.

I don't think USM should play G5 teams in bowl games.

Why?

I would much rather have that loss to UW than a Pizza bowl win over Fuck U.

You see where your program really is instead of a fantasy world of 'we beat all the other shitty conference teams' so we are good.

Exactly. That's why I said I don't think we should play G5 teams in bowl games. It's masturbation.

We don't really have a choice.

We can stay home and not break DeAndre Brown's fibia and tibia in a loss to MTSU.

Need the extra practices and payout.

Obviously, I'd much rather play a power team, but I'll take a Dollar General Bowl vs McGill-Toolen, St. Paul's, or whoever over nothing.

I agree on the practices, but any payout above our expenses (i.e. not much) gets shared by the whole conference anyway.

And I don't like St. Pauls. Go Lions.

My fear is that the people who run the program think it's an end in and of itself.

That was in 2008. We won that game vs Troy. Gave us big momentum heading into 2009, where we then lost to directional Tennessee in blowout fashion.

I have conflated my pizza bowls. I apologize, and will submit to whatever punishment the Commissioner of the Alliance of Frozen Food Athletics (Richard Giannini) elects to apply.

Re: CUSA gives up only good bowl game

I will say this about Giannini, he did bring in some exciting home games. That was the only thing he did well. Cal, Kansas, Virginia, NC State, Boise (twice), Louisville, Mississippi State, Nebraska (before we moved it). Should have had BYU in 2015 as well. Not sure how he did it. Crazy to think we were playing P5 teams regularly in Hattiesburg not too long ago. Now we may have the opportunity once every decade. #TTT

That's true. RG was all about home games.

Re: CUSA gives up only good bowl game

This is a one year deal for now. Good chance we are going to get a bid from The Frisco Bowl now against one of our former brothers in the AAC. Frisco is courting CUSA to move their HQ from Irving. Wouldn't be surprised if this was worked out prior to our agreement.

I figured there was some upside to it. Thanks.
