Great question and yet another missed major detail not covered by local news reporting. White enrollment is dropping significantly, down 800 students over the past 10 years while Asian/Hispanic has increased 71% during that same period. The racial disparity will continue the alarming trend of the student loan crisis. The gap in debt between "other" graduates and white graduates more than triples just several years after college.

I think that improving the average ACT score will help mitigate that. Innate intelligence is by far the single best predictor of success in today's economy- not education, race, etc.

It doesn't actually break out computer science, exactly. There's a category called something like "computer science and information technology."

That said, I'm pretty sure USM had more CS majors than anyone else in MS in that year. Going forward, we'll have the computer engineering major, too, which is good.
