Also, look for the name, Conference USA, to go away end of next year. They are changing the name and its going to be the first corporate sponsored conference.

That would be a legit conference sponsor......but no, its not. There is an insurance company that has a major footprint in most of the states where CUSA teams are based and uses sports marketing to expand name recognition and policy sales. They are taking small steps first to partner with us but the play is to purchase the conference naming rights next season allowing them to market their brand without absorbing the true cost of national advertising. Judy is looking outside the box to increase revenue and it will be interesting to see how this impacts P5 conferences in the future. Will the SEC change their name to ATT Conference, no. But you will see a similar adoption in the SEC like what is happening today in the NBA. ATT would buy the advertising rights of a conference and the ATT logo will be coming to every jersey in the future.
