Linebacker commit

Avery White from East Central High School. Tall and fast, chose USM over South Alabama. He's decided to "verbally commit."

Don't recall this guy mentioned. Sure hope we land him.

Re: Linebacker commit

Alright, as much as we give Hop grief for his lack of coaching skills and timeout management we need to give the man credit for his efforts with recruiting. Same should be said for Dawson. Our defense is young and the more we add to it we can build a junior or senior team defense that can rival the 97 or 99 teams. On offense, we can see the young talent at receiver and in the backfield. With QB Sam Saxton still committed out of Austin(6'5, 190lbs) we should do everything we can to develop this kid and give him control day 1. Put on about 20-25lbs of muscle on this kid and if he has an arm we are going to be unstoppable. He clearly is a smart kid because he has offers from 5 Ivy league schools.

Pray we get this signing class inked and pray that we back up the truck and keep Billings on our payroll this offseason.

I agree they can recruit.

I have no confidence they know what to do with talent when it gets here.

They can recruit 3rd place West SUNWACUSA talent, if only they could actually coach and put a legitimate D-1 quarterback on the field.

No small feat.
