Funny, I was just reading this take on Neal Brown and our own OC-du-jour:

Stoops rolled with it for a time, hiring Air Raid disciples Neal Brown and later Shannon Dawson as offensive coordinators. The Air Raid sirens even returned to Commonwealth Stadium but at his core, that brand of football was never in his constitution.

"I'm very much a meat and potatoes kind of guy," Stoops said. "I'm a defensive guy. This is the SEC. It's a physical conference. I want to be tough and I want to be physical. We have to build this foundation with great defense. There's no way around it. If you don't play great defense, you're not going to win consistently."

Good thing is we seem to have the defensive side down which was always our strength. They kept us in games all season long including Auburn. Give Scotty Walden the opportunity to make the most of the offense and give Jaden Johnson time and good things will happen.

And none of this question mark about who is our QB crap this off season. Develop your #1 against our #1 defense in spring and fall practice and don't waiver. If Jack or anyone else leaves because of it so be it. Change in OC allows Scotty to say past promises by others are not his to honor. Jaden is the bar. You want it, beat him and earn it when you take reps in practice.
