How much O does Derrick know? Enough to run an offense? Don’t know if he is a better option than SW but who knows.

He's been running backs coach at Ole Miss for years now. So he's worked for Houston Nutt and Hugh Freeze. Nutt definitely knows offense, and maybe Freeze does, too. I'm not sure being a longtime Ole Miss position coach is much of a resume for an OC job, but if Nix does know how to coach up a run game then he might be a good fit.

Before the whole Briles thing, somebody mentioned that there might end up being a run game coordinator / pass game coordinator split. Could be we'll see Nix as OC with Walden as "Co-OC / Passing Game Coordinator" or something.

Someone posted the 50th thread on FB Eaglepost this morning regarding this showdown. She called out some guy who acted like he knew what happened and that Bennett had no knowledge. Debbie called him out and said he needed to get his facts straight. He then asked her how she knew and she responded and said Jeff was her source.
Very odd seeing her continue to respond to people on social media.

Hattiesburg should be open to students, residents, local tax payers, shop owners, real estate agents and dry cleaners.

Can’t imagine his schedule is so complex that he can’t swing by Dallas Fort Worth after Houston. Maybe because DFW is more conservative than Beto Country we didn’t make his tour.....

The whole thing is pretty haphazard... no New Orleans, no Atlanta. It's almost like he didn't want to look like they were having too much fun. Didn't keep them from going out to Santa Whatever to eat dinner with Bower, though.

And FWIW, I don't expect or want the President of USM to be a political conservative. In my lifetime, we've had an old-school conservative Democrat, two liberals, one country club Republican, and one full-blown Ayn Rand-reading right wing wackjob in that position. The wackjob's politics were closest to my own, but that guy sucked as a university president.

while I understand what you're 'stating', in no way should that role ever display politics in any way.....

what I see in your post is the end result based on a 'viewpoint'....
