You must’ve not seen most of them up close.

Re: Alcorn St. @ USM football game thread

I’m depressed to BUT that team was not trash. They were well coached and their QB was a Mason Fine doppelgänger. That said we will have to find a running back willing to run. Dancing around at the line of scrimmage when you weigh 240 ain’t gonna get it done. And as long as Abraham is QB teams are gonna crowd the line of scrimmage and pretty much shut us down. Abraham was also part of the running games problem. His reads were horrible.
Now, State is gonna kill us. Maybe we get better by Troy.

Point well made. If Southern Miss wants a running game this season you have to go with Tate. That’s honestly the only way we can accomplish a passing and running game this season.

He was small. He got the ball out quick. He got the ball to the right guy, especially when we blitzed him. He scrambled well. He ran for some yardage. He didn’t throw the ball to us. He got rid of it when called for. He was their leader. So.....

IDK about doppelganger, but I've seen enough UNT football to assert that the guy from Alcorn would play for them most years.

Give their QB credit.......after all he did play against a nationally ranked top 10 defense last night.....

31,706 announced. Didn't know Alcorn traveled that well.

Adding some perspective compared to the Monken coached, Mullen/Ito Alcorn contest 5 years ago....

Re: Alcorn St. @ USM football game thread

We have always expected more at USM.
We usually don't get it, but expect it none the less.

We probably lost Foxworth for next week since he got tossed after two personal fouls.

Who does the suspension come from? The conference? The NCAA? I'd hate to think C-USA would tell us we can't play someone against MS State for something that happened against Alcorn.
