WAY too early...

...but it'd be cool to again sidestep Judy's slate of tie-ins, and the champion, for a better bowl. Granted we'd get our asses kicked again, but nonetheless.

We still suck bigtime.

I can't see the Independence passing on La Tech once again and picking us. We could end up in The First Responder Bowl against TCU as currently projected by USA Today. The best opponent we could end up facing is App St since they just beat their second P5 school and will end up being top 20 when the Superdome Bowl is played....I just hate that bowl game.....

Apparently Mizzu is still waiting for clearance from the NCAA for bowl eligibility which seems extremely odd entering week 11. That could move a couple of G5 schools around if they have to sit home.

Not that we will keep our britches up, but Tech has to play at Marshall and at UAB.

Re: WAY too early...

Highest regular season winning percentage based on overall CUSA play.
If tied, head to head between tied teams.
If still tied, highest winning percentage within division.
If still tied, compare records against divisional opponents in descending order of finish.
If still tied, compare records with common cross-divisional opponents.
If still tied, compare records against cross-divisional opponents in descending order of finish.
If still tied, team with highest CFP ranking.
If still tied, the representative will be the team that has not participated in the championship game most recently.
If at any point the tie is broken in a multiple team tie, the remaining teams will begin the process again at #2.

Translation: we need La Tech to lose 2

Re: WAY too early...

Needless question anyway. Didn’t realize UAB 3-2 in conference. So yea, La Tech must drop 2

Succinct, especially since the iceberg flipped!

Athlon projects us doing just that.

Re: WAY too early...

I'd definitely go to the Birmingham Bowl. Sad that playing SMU is something to aspire to now.

It is indeed, but would be better than the others and beat the crap out of the Bahamas and playing Buffalo or something, which some numbskulls on another board think would be nice for the players....sounds familiar, hauntingly familiar.
