I never gave a prediction. but I do think from looking at the schedule and how banged up we got just from playing little ULM we will be lucky to break even again this year. our players get hurt so easily it seems.

I believe NT's pass D is suspect. Staggers has a big day. Ito goes for another buck fifty and NT goes back to Denton wondering how the hell they beat us last year.

Teams that rout us: UTSA, Tennessee, LA Tech
Team that beats us in a close game: Marshall*
Teams we beat - UTEP, UAB, UNCC, UNT
Toss up - Rice, bowl opponent (MAC 7th place team)

That all adds up to 7-6. IF we lose to UNT, it's going to be a long year.

Eyebrows Magee has usm by 11 over unt......

USM (2-1) is in a position to put up plenty of points against UNT, but the Golden Eagles don't want to get into a shootout against C-USA's most productive offense so far.

My prediction: Southern Miss 35, North Texas 24.

I can C UNT holding on to the ball for a long time and putting the pressure on us.....but if we are smart and explode on them outside instead of pounding inside we should be able to avoid making a mistake that will cost us months from now at the end of the season.
