We still suck bigtime.
There's a big difference between optimism and an altered state of reality.
Not another dime, not another mile, not another minute.

Yeah, nothing like a whole bunch of milk and cheese to get you ready for a football game. Yuck!

My understanding is that his salary is only a few million, but he is compensated handsomely by a committee based on the profitability of the league (or collection of teams). So, he does indeed make $30+ million per year before taxes, but most of that is heaped on after the bottom line is determined.

Also, despite all the controversy, he runs the most profitable sports league in the history of the world. The owners hate him but love his results. And he is paid well enough that he doesn't mind being painted as the bad guy for everything that turns political.

Gonna be some changes in my choices. Lot's of better beers, pizza, etc. USAA is catching hell and rightly so. Advertising is the Achilles' heel of the NFL.

The NFL has, like, 8 Achilles' heels right now: CTE, its own players, millennials, wife-beating... nothing is going right for them at present.

Except that it's more popular than ever thanks to fantasy football, TV ratings are up, and the owners & players are making billions of dollars.

An Achilles heel is a vulnerability exhibited by someone or something that is otherwise strong.
