It's kinda amazing how great of an AD Jurich was. When he got there, Louisville was playing schools like UAB and Tulane in front of home crowds of 25k. Now they are in the the ACC and have the reigning Heisman winner. He has built pretty much every sport into a national contender. This could have been us, but we hired Giannini and are stuck in college football hell for eternity. Oh well.

I think the NCAA would frown on USM hiring anyone coming out of this Adidas scandal...considering the largely unrestricted flow of money currently being pipelined into our coffers by Russell Athletics.

It's not going to happen because we have Tom Cruise running things, but you have to wonder if Jurich came to USM, could ANYTHING be done to save this once great program? Might be too late.

Nothing about rebates here. It says basketball tix sold out for 4th consecutive year. Individual tix go on sale Oct. 28. Why in hell would you offer a rebate on something that is already sold?

Anyone know the real story on that one? It's weird that he would just go back to USL. He eventually got a better AD job than USM but it took him several years.

Is he just someone who got discovered serendipitously, or did he have something to do with Adidas? There's a lot going on here, and if it all kind of fizzles I won't be shocked. Wouldn't be the first time the feds skulked around somewhere for a while collecting miscellaneous shit on people and then tried to conglomerate it all into a bigger deal than it actually was.

The feds announcement yesterday was basically just the beginning of what is about to be discovered. The feds anticpate the coaches, financial advisors and shoe company execs to sing like a bird in order to avoid serious jail time. The charges against the first handful of coaches arrested are punishable up to 80 years since its a federal crime. The feds busted one of the financial advisors and had him work with an undercover FBI agent to meet with coaches and negotiate deals for high school recruits. If it is discovered that Pitino approved or had knowledge of the 100k payment to his player, he will be prosecuted by the feds. I expect Bruce Pearl to get the axe here next.
