If I were Carr, I think I would have shown solidarity with my team by locking arms or touching a shoulder or something. However, if I believe (like these radio pundits) that it was intentional, there's NO WAY I'm kneeling from here on out. I'll drop back and take bad snaps and sacks all day until those guys are prosecuted.

Agreed. I've posted about it elsewhere, and gotten criticized for it, but I empathize a tiny bit with the people doing the kneeling. It's a shitty way to protest, and the whole thing is largely engineered by people looking to win an election or make a dime, but somewhere down there there's at least the kernel of a real grievance.

And a football team is a hell of a thing. It's not just 53 guys who show up at 9:00 and leave at 5:00. A football team has to resemble a family, and you stick by your family if you're worth a damn.

If I were Karr, I'd have been in the coach's office the next workday making my unwillingness to play behind that line ever again crystal clear. People need to learn how to put political differences aside in order to get a job done. Most of us have figured that out. Those of us who haven't are pretty toxic people.

OK, I'd play. There's too much money on the table. But at the first sign of a loafing tackle, I'd... take a knee. The knife cuts both ways, my friend. No one is under any obligation to jump in front of an unblocked pass rusher.
