Ways to make Southern Miss less bush league

Something we hear a lot from our friends to the north is how bush league our university is. I've been thinking a lot about this lately. Here are a few ways to make USM less bush league.

1) Change the name - Change the university's name to Hattiesburg State University or just Hattiesburg University/University of Hattiesburg like Memphis, Troy, and Cincinnati. This way you don't have to hear about how we're a directional school.

2) No more NITchampsburg - This is a real embarrassment. Celebrating that we were the 65th best team thirty years ago. Who gives a shit? Get rid of the NITchampsburg name now. Same goes for #baseburg.

3) Open up the tickets vs MSU - Now this could be controversial. Instead of locking out MSU fans when we play them in Hattiesburg, open 'em up. If our fans are too lazy or cheap to buy tickets, that's on them. Try this against MSU for the baseball series in 2018 and football game in 2024. Free market, bitches.

I think there are two things we can do: recruit better undergrads and do more research. We've been doing those things, but it's slow going.

I'd be curious to see some tangible proof of that.

Such a contrived, false tradition, and so so pansy. So wrong it has become as a curse upon us.

Just figure out a way for it to be construed it as racist, and implant the angle. Like uploading a virus.

A flag being raised, To The Top?

We still suck bigtime.
