What about Hopson?

I see calls for his firing. Let's vote on it. (It's a non-binding vote.)

What is the 'null vote' option?

So you can see results without voting?

Of course you know how I voted.

Yeah, I think you're right about the purpose of the "null vote."

I'm not sure you're right about my vote. I voted "maybe." I can envision ways that the season could unfold that would merit firing. You want to give a guy three years, at a minimum. It paid off with Fedora, who looked mediocre for a long time. That said, there are Ed Orgeron / Ellis Johnson levels of incompetence that warrant a faster exit.

Don't know what you mean about me not being right about your vote.

This is bordering on that level of incompetence.  The level of our competition is hiding it from many.

I was thinking you assumed I was in the "give him three years" camp. I don't buy that; it's a cliche. Like I said, Hopson is definitely in possession of enough rope to hang himself this year.

The UNT game was indeed as poorly coached an effort as I have ever witnessed, and I watched us play Boise State in 2012.

Re: What about Hopson?

I don't know if anything will equal the Boise loss from 2012 or the last time Bower lost to them...pretty shitty coaching both times.

I voted to let him stay for the year so we can see just how shitty he is or if he miraculously pulls his dumb head out of his ass.

That was the game where they gave Ricky Lloyd his shot, if memory serves. Watching him play was terrifying. You could see he had some talent but he had no ability of inclination to protect the football.

I sat in the East upper deck with one of my kids. There was actually a pretty enthusiastic crowd up there for the first quarter and a half or so. At the start of that season, I really thought we'd turned the corner when it came to fan support. We fucking squandered it all though.

Re: What about Hopson?

Closest thing to a consensus seems to be "maybe, let's see how the season turns out." Makes sense to me.

I'll say it again: our HC ought to make $1,000,000 per year, whether it's Hopson somehow working himself up to that level, or someone else.

E12loss made ~$850,000 for 4 years but only coached 1 year
