Don't know, but finally maybe hop realized he has been fucking up...........direct quote......

Following the game, Hopson said he was leaning toward starting Kwadra Griggs next week at Rice. He added he will go over Saturday's game film before officially settling on Griggs (who was 6-of-11 for 61 yards after relieving Howard in the fourth quarter).

"But right now, leaving here, he'll probably be the starter next week," he said.

Howard was 7 for 22 for 100 yards through the air, and rushed for 29 yards on 10 carries.

It's not too hard to analyze. Take away one TN score because Kwadra protects the ball better. Give USM one additional score because of Kwadra. That leaves it at 17-17. In overtime, you figure neither of two teams that couldn't get to 20 in regulation scores a TD. That means the Vols kick a field goal to win 20-17 in OT.

But wait.........during the kick, USM is called for a penalty for excessive height. UT runs the ball in for a score.Tennessee 24 USM 17. Hop spills his root beer during the post game presser.

why / how would you only give USM one more score?  why only take away one of Tenn scores that came from turnovers deep in our territory.  i think your analysis needs reevaluating.

Griggs took the team on a 95 yard drive his first series. he only had one other series.  i think it makes more sense to say he would have took them for a TD or score AT LEAST half his possessions.  i also thin it makes more sense to take both of those TDs away from Tenn that Hop gave them by letting Keon play so much.  this game would have been a blowout had Griggs started like he should have.

i update my woulda/coulda score to 40-10 and its only that close bc the refs cheated us and they have an awesome punter.

I was just being conservative. We really haven't seen all that much of Griggs.
