Hair gel question

So I'd been using Alberto VO5 hair gel. It was the kind that came in a metal tube, and was labelled as being "100% concentrated, no water and no alcohol":

I went to the store to buy some more today, and I had to settle for a different product (Dove Men+Care Control Gel):

I can report that it's a decent gel. It's a bit sticky; you'll need to wash your hands thoroughly after applying it, which was not a necessity with the VO5 gel. It dries quickly to a fairly hard texture. Again, that was not true of the VO5 product.

One plus: the VO5 gel has a bit of an "old man" smell, whereas the Dove gel is odorless.

My question: does anyone know where I can get the VO5 gel (or a good alternative), or even if it is still produced? The place I went to (Publix) had certain VO5 products but not the exact one I wanted.

Re: Hair gel question

Apparently Dove hair care products are infused with caffeine (http://www.star-telegram.com/living/art … 87522.html). Seems like this has become a trend for products marketed to people with brittle / frizzy hair. I don't fall into that category, so it seems a bit weird to me that a hair product would contain a stimulant.
