Been scrolling through the Facebooks today. Lamar County soccer moms pissed we aren't adding gymnastics. Heh. Apparently this is as cheap of a sport as you can add, so I'm cool with it if we have to do it. The red pillers on here can quit their bitching.

We won't be able to do it because of Title IX, but we would be competitive immediately in men's soccer. There are no D1 soccer programs in Mississippi or Louisiana. Just one in Alabama (UAB). And CUSA is actually pretty decent at it, top 7-8 league that generally gets multiple bids to the tournament (Kentucky and South Carolina are both in CUSA for men's soccer!). So many good players in the Gulf South that go the JUCO route because there's no D1 program in the region.
