HA -- I saw Aldo Nova open for Cheap Trick in Biloxi...fucking fabulous

Saw Ratt there too and some jackasses from NJ opened for them...7800 degrees F tour of Suck Jovi.  I went for some beers and a piss when the jersey boys were playing.

The Def Lep Hi & Dri album was one of the very best early 80s albums made along with the first Ratt album.  The Cult's Electric was pretty damn good too along with any of the Whitesnake and GNR works so don't gimme some Flock of Seagulls shit!  And Queensryche, don't forget about Queensryche (saw them in New Orleans)!!

I saw Ratt in Jxn with JBJ opening. Crowd was restless while he performed waiting on the headliners.

I was on a Riverboat tour in Memphis a few days after I saw them in Biloxi and could hear them playing...thought that was pretty cool.

A year and a half ago, I woke up and asked "did we really beat Kentucky?"

When the answer came back in the affirmative, I poured a drink and listened to this:

Re: Song of the day 12/23

Grew up on hair bands....first saw this guy when his hair band opened for KISS (and Slaughter) at Lakewood Amphitheater in 1990. Fast forward 20+ years later and he now lives down the road from me and is a partner at one of the best guitar shops in Texas. The shop is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood in the middle of nowhere but has a small performance theater(maybe 200 seats) but with his music connections you can randomly see Steve Vai, Rick Derringer, etc..playing on a random week night with this guy.

Re: Song of the day 12/23

Saw Vai when he spent one hour with Whitesnake. I think Coverdale paid him one million for the tour and album. They toured with one hit wonder Kix(don’t close your eyes) . Just missed seeing him with Diamond Dave. That would have been better.....
