Yeah, that dude has a successful future managing a Sonic or something else not involving baseball.

Jesus save us... FAU wins it on a passed ball after two intentional walks loaded the bases. Stupidest shit I've ever heard in my life. Berry shouldn't have a job involving baseball.

Tough loss. Need to take the next two.

I agree, but even if USM does take the next two (and that definitely could happen), are we just supposed to forget the stupidity we just witnessed? USM lost on two intentional walks followed by a (?) passed ball. Is this baseball, or The Three Stooges? That was a complete fucking embarrassment, man. I know they're good, but that was absolutely incredible. Have we got no bullpen or coaching staff whatsoever?

We have literally lost to every single decent team we have played this year....not great teams, just decent teams. Only wins have come against the pathetic programs.......including State......

Berry is so full of shit. Corky from "Life Goes On" could have coached USM to a win in that game.

Missisloppy State was a decent but distracted team. That series hinted at the potential that exists (existed?) for USM baseball in 2018.

Unfortunately, after tonight, I think the USM baseball team, like most USM teams, is coached by blithering idiots. Tonight was a complete embarrassment. It put the fact that USM won't do what's necessary to hire good coaches out there for everyone to see.

Sports- especially baseball- are almost as psychological as they are physical. State's baseball team is figuring that out right now.

State was an intimidating team when they came into Hattiesburg. Look at how people predicted that series would turn out. There was one guy who predicted it would be a disaster, and he doesn't even post here anymore. Is that why?

I don't know, but if he did post here, he might have some questions to answer.

That was pretty much what I was getting at. He was a big part of the offense tonight, why not the defense?

Bigger question: if Wallner can't pitch, do we really have no one else? Do we really need to be walking the bases loaded?

first, I don't pull Sandlin at a 99 pitch count.....he can go 110-120 with that delivery and just finished a 9 pitch inning taking them down in order.....no reason to pull him....

Wright is a problem....gotta find somebody else for that spot in a tight game....

walking their two best hitters really didn't matter at that point with a man on third, no outs in b9.....you have to get to a ground out force at the plate or s/o, then hope for the DP.....

I would also like to see Berry move Wallner to the 3 and Reynolds at the 4.....

the bottom line is they don't suck....we simply couldn't finish it tonight.....that's baseball....

Nobody knew what State had coming into the season. They were a high ceiling-low floor type of team. It all depended on a lot of raw, unproven  talent on the mound panning out. So far, it hasn’t.

I think everyone expected their lineup to struggle. That was not a good lineup last year outside of Rooker, Brown, and Mangum.

We couldn’t finish it because everything outside of Sandlin sucks so far. Even Wallner hasn’t looked dominant and is mostly a non-factor in his current limited role.

Not having a pitching staff isn’t “baseball.”  There’s a reason we will continue to lose these games.

No, it isn't.
