I can offer two theories.

Theory #1: everything other than the bullpen is good-to-excellent.

Theory #2: the bullpen has lost USM close games late, but the overall runs-vs.-runs-allowed is very good in spite of the bullpen.

Surprised we climbed this week. Clearly the baseball experts have more respect for us than those that actually follow the program. It also shows that the possibility of hosting a regional is still alive and well even if we don't believe thats the case.

Time to forget about the first 26 games and start fresh with the second half of the season since we are sitting in a really advantageous position today nationally. We have 28 games left. Go 11-3 at home and 10-4 on the road. Finish the regular season at 40-14. Win the CUSA regular season title and win the conference tournament and you finish the season with 44 wins. We are in the discussion for hosting again.
