Straight forward with his thoughts and comments on the program. Solid with his FB Live chats. He is good at his job.
Here are the highlights.....
Said we were a 7-8 team at the start of the season but now believes we are 7 wins since he had ULM as a win
Said we will see all 4 backs but no George Payne against App St and doesnt think he will travel with the team to NC. Just not ready yet and hasn't dressed the first two games
Thinks new DB's have done well all things considered if not better than expected so far. We got beat once in each game and those mistakes are expected with a new secondary
Attendance was about what he expected. He said prior to the game he thought about 19K would show up for ULM
Doesn't think the power I is a good fit for our offense all it does is key defenses into what you are going to do and not ideal for pass protection with our new qb situation
O Line movement on zone blocking concept is allowing defenders to shoot the lanes which is why we are getting 1-2 yards.
Pass protection using slide protection to one side was poorly executed which resulted in the turnovers. Parks missed a block on one of the turnovers
Quez and Jaylon show that Dawsons passing game is working
He believes Mosley is the best back on this team. Doesn't think he will keep his redshirt as this season progresses. Tez has not impressed him this season but is our third leading receiver so far.
Griggs.....has missed 6 weeks of reps at this point. Even if cleared it will be extremely hard for him to be inserted back into the starting rotation
Nick believes Dawson has an impressive aspect of his offense but not without mistakes. You have a new starting qb, replacing two outstanding receivers, lose Ito and still are close to 1,000 yards offense after two games this season. Quez is leading conference in receiving TD's

"There was a great deal of character on that field today. They are for real, no doubt about it. This was no fluke." - Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant
