Re: UNT

They outgained LA Tech but turned the ball over twice and ended up losing in front of a big home crowd.

That kind of sounds familiar.

Re: UNT

Their tailback (or whatever they call it now...) is out. Looking like a tough year for NorTh Texas FooTball. I'm sure their "title hopes" are still alive, and there's always bowel season.

Anyone can win this conf right now......even a team that can’t beat Northeast Center of Louisiana St University......

That's true. After last season, I would have said that whatever team was the most willing to spend money on coaches would win the conference. But FAU has returned to mediocrity, so I guess it's just a pure crapshoot. No reason USM can't win this conference, for whatever that's worth.

Re: UNT

To The Top Podcast touches on FAU and how Kiffin bought a team for one year with the island of misfit toys he brought in. Now he is scrambling. Hop is building a team and in Y4 he will have a solid team on both sides of the ball. We just lack patience as a fanbase and want immediate results.

"Weave" got 10x the fanbase FAU has. Just need to leverage it.

I can see good things happening, but it will require more of an identity on offense. There's talent- but who are the go-to guys in key situations? That's what's missing in my opinion, especially in the run game.

Re: UNT

I don’t know who is the go to. Could just be a Pinkston/Gideon type team with Jacks development and Quez and Adams putting up crazy numbers. Either way it’s going to be hard for Griggs to watch as long as Jack is healthy and progressing.....

You get a trip to Memphis as the champ. Not.

Oh they are leveraging the fan base.  They are driving the few of us left out the door with guns blazing.

How far is Memphis from Oxford?

Don’t worry about answering. You don’t even need to know.

For JSU - Hattiesburg, both unreachable now.

Re: UNT

I had a good laugh when I found out that the mayor of Jackson is some dude from Detroit who changed his name to "Chokwe Lumumba." I think he's... woke? Or something?
