Reminds me of 2016 versus Rice... except it's the Raiders.

Re: Good Luck, Nick

Regardless, this was a nice national shot in the arm for our program tonight. Nick is even wearing a Southern Miss wristband tonight. The Southern Miss social media accounts should be all over this for the next 24 hours. Hop better be tweeting all of our recruits hyping this debut as well.

Re: Good Luck, Nick

Good job to all associated with Southern Miss social media. They are taking advantage of this special moment during one of our more challenging seasons to date(one of the USM tweets below). The fact that #SouthernMiss was trending last night on Twitter was an unexpected surprise for a random Thurs night in October during a 3-4 season. Can't tell you the amount of times I didn't just hear our school name, but the number of times it was followed with a statement of respect. From Joe Buck stating how proud everyone at Southern Miss is tonight, to Richard Sherman talking about our tradition at QB, to Scott Van Pelt talking about not only USM but even gave a mention to Austin Davis, to local media outlets in Dallas, TX and Atlanta, GA, to the best moment of all on the NFL Network when Nick was talking to Brett Favre and Nick told Brett he was just proud to represent Southern Miss the way Brett did.

We have a new generation of special athletes and we need to promote their success as much as possible. From a World Series player in Dozier, to our Olympian in Tori and active NFL players making a difference. Nick clearly loves Southern Miss and what he did for us as far as free PR was awesome.

That was always the point of college athletics in my mind. People talk about national championships and whatnot. I don't sweat stuff like that. I just want USM to look good on TV.

You spelled "Facebook / Twitter" wrong.

"I don't think being in the 6th best conference is too bad."
"Look for Crickets Robertson to be one of the first 64 players chosen in the draft."
"Went to Starkville and came within one bad throw of taking the series."

I don't count that. Needless to say, I'm not getting what I "just want" anymore.
