Politics in Sports

When will it stop? Double standard if she is not fired since Curt Schilling got booted for voicing his political views on Facebook regarding the NC bathroom bill. I guess being a black female gets you a pass.....

Re: Politics in Sports

To me it's kinda like the ole tree in the woods but no one is there to hear it...

I have no clue who that chick is and don't care what she says. But yah, the double-standard shit is pretty funny.  Kinda like Goodell being OK with the players expressing themselves with the Anthem.  But they damn well better not express themselves against him personally or the heavy fines are immediate.

I see an ESPN logo...they are part of the Globalist Establishment which is very anti-American so fuck them too!

Re: Politics in Sports

ESPN has done everything they can push their agenda......from sending camera crew to Michael Sams house as a late 7th round pick to selecting Catliyn Jenner as the ESPN Courage Award winner.....glad they are going bankrupt. Maybe they should focus on sports a little more before the lights go out.

Re: Politics in Sports

Politics has no place in sports. ESPN should know this by now but can't get past their bias. When the ratings bottom out, perhaps they will.

Re: Politics in Sports

If Bruce Jenner fucked dogs in public wouldn't that too be courageous to those whackos?  Wait, animals have more value to leftists than humans so they would condemn him/it. Espn would still report on it however and it would only be a problem because the dog didn't give express consent.

Donald Trump was with his doctor, reviewing the results of his physical.

"There's good news and bad news, Donald," the doctor said.

"Oh yeah," replied Trump. "Give me the good news first, I guess."

"OK then," said the doctor. "You've got 6 weeks to live, tops."

"That's the good news?" Trump asked, incredulous. "What in the hell could the bad news possibly be?"

Doctor: "It's sickle-cell anemia."

Unfunny

Likely the least racist POTUS in history.  Certainly less racist than his predecessor.

But I digress

I actually don't think Donald is particularly racist. He's certainly not the most racist President we've had, and I'm not just talking about the guys from 100+ years ago.

I just like that joke.

Re: Politics in Sports

White House presser today called her remarks as a, "fireable offense".....Then some media outlets/fake news ran with that comment and made it a headline stating that the White House is DEMANDING her to be fired.......

Re: Politics in Sports

FU## ESPN.   Ratings are tanking and they've laid off thousands.  They deserve nothing less.  I'm only sorry I'm forced to watch Southern Miss on Saturday via ESPN.    Dropped Dish Network in early summer and a couple guys asked me "what about sports, ESPN?"  I was like, "uh, I don't watch that liberal shit anymore."

Re: Politics in Sports

The underlying problem here is that the players have too much power. That only leads to bad things: free agency, political activism, inflated salaries, etc.

I'd like to see a pro sports league structured such that players work for the league itself. That removes the legal basic for free agency. I don't think these guys should be making seven-figure salaries, either. Yeah, I know that's what the market will bear, but you don't have to be a dogmatic free market advocate 100% of the time.

Honestly, capitalism ruins sports in my opinion. I deal with capitalism all week long. Sports should be an escape.

Re: Politics in Sports

I'm watching this TV show "Live PD." It's basically the new "Cops." The police are arresting some ppor intoxicated youth and he's interrogating the cops about who they voted for. LMAO. Nice try, son, but you're the one who fucked up here.

Another kid on "Live PD" just told the cops his "domicile is the land" and that his address is "The Republic of South Carolina."

Now that you mention it, he did exhibit some sovereign citizen tendencies. "Galt's Gulch Industries" and all that. And then he ran his board like a petty dictator... creepy!
