Another wasted opportunity, typical.

Well great. I guess that is why Bennett, Bower, Cameron, Kamera and Mitchell were at the game. No Hopson? I know the post is tongue in cheek but has something really been stated on this?

Re: The War is Over

Not completely.

If Bennett were a caucasian he’d be gone yesterday, and that may still happen.

But, despite all the disinformation:

1. The hire was approved by Bennett.
2. The hire was approved by the college board.
3. Vagina hat wearing skanks on the faculty complained to Bennett.
4. Bennett in fear pulled the plug at the last minute.
5. He put blood in the water with his panicked press release.
6. He hides behind the lie that he was out if the loop.
7. He allows Hop to be scapegoated and crucified in the media.

We still suck bigtime.

There's pretty good evidence for 1, 3, 4, and 7.

I don't know about 2.

I don't agree with 5, if you're referring to the initial statement about not hiring Briles. That was pretty succinct and cut-and-dry. That crap he sent out for the snowflakes a day later (if that's actually when it was sent) was needless and inflammatory.

As for 6 and 7, I do think Bennett owes it to Hop to refute the SB Nation story (which just isn't plausible). He owes Hop that as a man, though, not as the President of USM. The President of USM has put himself into a position where he has to let Hop take the heat, because it's easier to sell a university with a knucklehead football coach than it is to sell a university with a knucklehead president.

And that's what we're left with: they're both bad at their jobs and bad for USM. I mean, for a guy who's apparently got no standards when it comes to recruiting and staffing, 7 games is pretty weak. And how can Bennett continue to lead the faculty and staff after what he did to Hop?

I hope they both go, sooner rather than later, along with Interim AD Opie Taylor.

Bring back Reed V. "Pie" TurkPalmer Eustachy.

Ace...

Only seen what a few posters stated on two other boards about a reconciliation on Friday. Bennett owes the alumni and supporters a public statement but I wouldn’t hold your breath waiting for one. Fingers crossed it comes up at tomorrow’s tour stop and someone posts Bennett’s comments for all.
Pure lazy and irresponsible for Mitchell and Bennett not to put something out. No excuse.
