Re: Music selection

That first Rush album was recorded with a different drummer and it has a unique sound... the more laid-back rhythm parts give it almost a "Pink Floyd featuring Geddy Lee" vibe.

the intro is 'scarily' rocky horror in da howze...

their early stuff was as good and simple as it gets....with a little 'cowbell' wink

Re: Music selection

Probably seen this band live 4 or 5 times over 20 years from the old Roxy and Fox theaters in Atlanta, to Samford University in Birmingham to the House of Blues a few years back here in Dallas. Yes, they are "Christian" but their debut album was a crossover hit with flood and liquid. One of the better guitarists out there as well.

Re: Music selection

How many #1 hits does Bob Dylan, James Brown, Johnny Cash and The Backstreet Boys have collectively?

Zero

How many does Jan Hammer have?

More than Dylan, Cash, Brown and BSB......last instrumental to reach #1......November 1985. I believe the only instrument Jan used was a Commodore 64......

Re: Music selection

The Ramones were always a fun, light-hearted band. Some of their best songs were about the joys of eating some junk food after a long day at school.

There was I Wanna Pizza Bagel:

This is one of his highest charting songs ever......I still have a hard time believing that Winger got their start as Coopers band.....
