We can't really make fun of this. Can't remember the last time USM beat those guys. It wasn't when Fine was around.

UNT has a 7-6 lead all-time. Last USM win was 2015. TTT

I think I recall USM lost the home and away game when I was there. 77, 78 or 79 maybe? USM did win a bowl game.

I think NTSU played some good football back then. When the I-A / I-AA split occurred, for whatever reason, they went I-AA and stayed there long enough that it looked like USM had surpassed them.

They returned to I-A around 1999 and they've found a home right in the middle of the bottom half of FBS. It's not hard for a university like that to do if they really want to. The ones that fail either don't really care (Tulane) or are in a remote location (Idaho, NMSU).
