Re: Armed Forces Bowl in Ft Worth v Tulane

I have to go back to work on the 2nd. Was off from the 21st to the 1st. Would have went to the exhibition game if been it had been on a normal day during the holidays . No thanks to driving to Fort Worth on a Friday and back home to Alabama on Sunday . I’ll watch this one at home while eating breakfast .

Opened at Tulane -7.5, with most places showing -7 now. MGM Mirage is still giving -7.5 but withough vig... like, they would really like to encourage you to bet Tulane -7.5. (Do them a personal favor.)

my guy has it -7 at -115/+7 -105...

I'm most likely going to buy it down to -6.5/-125 for 250/200....

the rule of thumb in foosball is, buy to win, never buy to tie....

I see no reason to bet it early as it's dropped from the open...

it's now at -6.5...

Yeah, Tulane -7.5 is pretty much the Bigfoot of point spreads. It's been captured briefly in grainy footage, but I wouldn't expect it to stick around long.

Re: Armed Forces Bowl in Ft Worth v Tulane

Weather looks exceptional for the morning kickoff. Should be around 55 degrees and full sun. I've been to one USM game pre renovation at Amon Carter back in 2004. Was one of the ugliest USM performances I have seen in person. Been back to Amon to watch TCU post renovation and the stadium and surrounding area are legit. Lots of places for good food. Velvet Taco is a few miles from the stadium if you wan to grab some good breakfast tacos since kickoff is so early......the waffle tacos are solid.......

USM never seems to play well at that place.  I remember them going out there in 2002 and just getting torn to shreds. Of course, it was the opening week of deer season so hwatever.

Re: Armed Forces Bowl in Ft Worth v Tulane

At least 20K military services members confirmed for tomorrow. F-35 flyover, 100 Purple Heart recipients will be honored on the field, and more than a 100 recruits will be inducted into the armed forces.
Tanks, a Marine helicopter, and a Thunderbird are already parked and ready for the “Bowl for the Brave,” which draws a crowd of mostly active military members and veterans because their tickets are free.

If the game goes south at least you will be well protected......

where u at stink?  i see an over under bet on that one.... over  / under 27,902?

I'd set it at 27k and still take the under...

don't know about butts in the seats but i still take the over on 'announced' crowd.

Re: Armed Forces Bowl in Ft Worth v Tulane

Tough call on attendance for a few factors....

1. Almost every past Armed Services Bowl included a team from a military branch.
2. The game was always played in the late afternoon, not 10:30AM
3. The Fort Worth RV show is going on at the same time and we all know how well those RV shows are attended....

Weather will be exceptional which is a plus but locally there is zero mention of the game which is disappointing because you can really sell it as a military show for kids and adults to see and celebrate our military. I would expect 15-18K actual attendance.
