July 1 Deadline for College Football

Interesting take by Kirk Herbstreit saying that he would be shocked if any football is played this fall including high school, college or pro. His reason is sound saying that it takes months to prepare for a season and we are months from a treatment for COVID-19. Paul Finnebaum somewhat disagrees. He is married to a physician. He thinks we are close to a treatment. A July deadline seems realistic considering everything.

If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one around to hear it, does it make any sound ?

And just when I thought there was 0% chance Hopson would be coaching Southern Miss in 2021.......

Re: July 1 Deadline for College Football

Virginia just extended “stay at home” until June 10. If other states follow and we end up with almost 200K deaths in the US to COVID I don’t see college football in 2020.....which is fine as it relates to USM

I will bet you a case that Hop is gone before the end of this month. Zero chance he is returning because Jeremy has zero chance of selling this product next season. The JSU game won’t be enough to carry the fall revenue budget for the water and electricity bill at the Pebble....

And let’s not forget how many players are jumping ship right now. Hell Hop might just leave on his own at this point. I’m sure his relationship with Lamont is still sour....

Re: July 1 Deadline for College Football

If they intend to keep paying football salaries while forging ahead with Jeff Bower Elementary and the puppet stage they better have a dang good business interruption policy.
