A lot of people suck right now. It’s exactly why you have to go to the store at 6:45am just to find the basics because people are hoarding stupid stuff like milk, eggs, dishwasher detergent and paper products and then selling them at 500% markup on Nextdoor. I’m sure it will stick with the heaviest penalties enforced if it’s proven.

That's my fear. I mean, the guy can plausibly say, "I'm the Public Safety Director and I decided the masks would be safer overnight if they were in my personal possession." I suspect it's BS, but that's why you've got to make every effort to put someone of complete integrity into that job. You're relying 100% on your ability to trust him.

Now, if they can present evidence this person sold even one mask...
