Fall & Spring

Why not one more of many crazy ideas.

Thoughts
P5 football in the Fall
G5 football in the spring

Financially would this benefit or be a complete disaster for G5

Re: Fall & Spring

I approach such questions from the perspective that almost nothing could be worse than the status quo.

Pretty sure a lot of G5 programs can’t survive without playing money games @P5 schools. Where would we be financially without the Bama & State games from last season?

Excellent point.

Devil’s advocate- don’t think TV revenue would increase enough to make up shortfall?  Only game in town

Re: Fall & Spring

yeah, how much money do we get for CUSA TV? Like 220K a season.... that's f'n sad sad sad right there.

I'll say that I think we survive this virus shit. It will no doubt hurt us and we might not ever really recover. There are programs out there though that will not survive this. You take something like Title IX that is already crippling programs and now you add this virus and hardly revenue coming in.... NCAA has to relax that to help some schools survive. Truthfully we are one of those. I think we survive through it, but I do think it is one more blow that our broke ass program doesn't need.
