UConn (FBS Independent) signs contract to televise football games

They are blazing a trail outside the stifling G5 model. Haven't seen an amount quoted anywhere.

When CBS wipes your backside for basketball I wouldn’t be surprised to see UCONN field hockey ink a television deal with CBS Sports.......

Re: UConn (FBS Independent) signs contract to televise football games

I just want to see how football is going to look this fall. You have the PAC 12 probably going to a 11 game conference only schedule. You have Dr Fauci telling Congress today that it’s beyond laughable that colleges think they can handle and treat COVID cases. Everything to this point is virtual as far as coaching, team workouts, etc...

There is no vaccine and while I see the need to get back to work college sports are low on the priority list outside of the top Power 5 programs. Nobody cares if and when Old Dominos or UTEP return to the field. At some point they need to recognize this and act like it’s not important compared to how you get students back on campus. Just cut football today and save the money in 2020. Reevaluate next year if it can come back. It’s not like we are missing something.

It's almost like we should be two completely different countries. Why has no one ever thought of this brilliant idea.

Every single day someone new wants the microphone......and they get to hold it for 5 minutes and try their hardest to make global life changing statements to either A) help the country and world or 2) make a name for themselves for their book deal and political benefit.....

Re: UConn (FBS Independent) signs contract to televise football games

Per Mark Sclabauch of ESPN College Football will be forever changed. Said it’s dumb for a South Alabama to be competing at the same level of UGA and Alabama. Even a school like Rutgers is losing a ridiculous amount of money even in the Power 5. Changes are coming very soon. Sponsor patches will be coming to college football jerseys.....playoff will be expanded next season......The days of UCF getting a majority of their athletic funding from student fees are over. Same with these title 9 requirements. UGA equestrian team lost 3 million last year but because of football they can afford to lose 3 million.

For the record he was on that UGA team we beat in 96....
