Positives?

"After allowing 526 yards of total offense to Southern Alabama in Week 1, The Golden Eagles defense 1.) looked significantly better through the first three quarters against Louisiana Tech. Southern Miss 2.) forced their first punt of the season early in the third quarter and 3.) held the Bulldogs to 10 points midway through the third." hmm

Re: Positives?

Our best chance lies with Keon.

Re: Positives?

"Coach Willie Fritz already has addressed quarterback 1.) Keon Howard’s interception into double coverage before halftime — he was baited into a bad decision by Navy cornerback Cameron Kinley — and the fourth-and-5 deep pass that did not work with 4:41 left, saying Howard had a short option (tight end Tyrick James) but chose the long one. 2.) No one is excusing Howard’s off-target throws, but the receivers definitely played a significant role. With the score tied at 24, Jones dropped a fourth-down ball in the flat 3.) that Howard through behind him under heavy duress."

Re: Positives?

Plenty of positives......We had several individuals step up last week like Shorts, Jones, Harrell and Ragsdale. Less about scoreboard and more about players buying in and competing with Walden as HBC. USA game officially deflated the win/loss concern in 2020 and now it’s just about improving week to week for coaches as well.
Every single team in FBS is bowl eligible as of this week regardless of how many wins they have at the end of the season. Based on the financial impact of COVID let me tell you how many teams will accept a bid especially if they have less than 8 wins......not many. No cash for bowl travel, hotels, food, zoo and bowling alley visits at host city, etc.....G5 schools aren’t bowling in 2020.

Re: Positives?

Positives? Tim Jones is really good.

Not Positive? Tim Jones is battling an injury.

Negatives? Most everything else.

Re: Positives?

We may wiggle around for a bit before we get tired and the Geenies clamp down.

But, a great opportunity to visit the new union plaza photo wall though, and play Where's Whitey.

He's paying the freight as usual, the hand that feeds - unseen, unappreciated, marginalized and despised. Change my mind, please.

P.S. And he'd really appreciate a victory today.
