94 LSU

Just saw on the China controlled Twittersphere that Chris Pierce who kicked the 52 yard game winning field goal at LSU passed away.

Far too young.

Re: 94 LSU

Wasn't Chris the guy who listed his occupation as "Nuclear Reactor Designer" in the game program and got a visit from the feds? lol

Re: 94 LSU

I don’t remember the nuclear reactor script from that season.

Oddly, anyone remember that game against Samford that year? Didn’t a player on the Samford team end up losing his leg after getting caught up awkwardly on a play? Don’t remember the specifics.

I think that's right. Might have been a different year.

What I remember from the '94 game is that USM had a male cheerleader miked up and he got in trouble for saying something insulting about Samford. It was something about how anyone associated with the school should be embarrassed by the score.

That whole "give him a microphone" thing was so idiotic. I wonder if anyone remembers who was behind that. It wasn't Giannini (too long ago); maybe it was the same genius who came up with TTT?

Re: 94 LSU

It seems a USM player lost his lower leg from an injury during that game: https://www.methodistonline.org/news-ev … r-amputees

Article about the LSU game: https://www.andthevalleyshook.com/2016/ … thern-miss

Man, Jamie Howard really wasn't that good. I think he threw something like 9 interceptions against Auburn that year.
