Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

LaTech ain’t going with us…refused to be in the same conference as ULM…not SoMiss…we ain’t got no pride…bring on the gumbo and SWAC premium entertainment.

I kid…I kid…this is the best (only) move for us. I do hate that Tech won’t be going as they are a good rival. However we renew our best historic geographic rivalry in ULL.

But…but…just damn…this is a long way from the days when Slive was commissioner…when we were relevant…<sigh>…fuck.

Fuck ole miss…fuck state…fuck the college board…shit fuck hell damn turd…there, I feel better.

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

Egos and arrogance have destroyed CUSA at the conference and school level. La Techs previous AD Tommy McClelland went on record last May and dismissed the value of a merger between the Sun Belt and CUSA and went so far to state that LA LA should be making the call to CUSA to move up a level and said good luck with that conversation. A few months later he left Tech for Associate AD at Vandy.

I also wish we continued our games with them but I am more looking forward to baseball series against LA LA, Coastal and USA.

Sun Belt would allow me to go to more games. Seeing USM play Georgia State up here would be good.

It's still Shit. Less Shit than what we were in. No Judy, A Lil more money, and finally on real TV since the war started. Still no rivalries, unless you get off on playing luzziane.

I’d imagine some teams are making similar comments towards playing Southern Miss.  Lets be honest, Southern Miss has been a real shit show for several years, and that’s just football. Basketball will be elevated if it makes it to shit show level

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

Being reported that USM and Marshall a lock. Possible add of ODU and JMU as well. Marshall is wanting a few more in their region.

CUSA looking to add Liberty and JMU. If that happens, ODU and Marshall would stay. USM still goes to the Belt

Tug of war right now for CUSA and Sun Belt. Not sure how Judy convinces anyone to join with her leadership in play.

Biggest takeaway is how Liberty isn’t the first choice over all of the teams.

So. We are leaving the Big East for the Sun belt? I remember when people had "sources" saying the Big East was a lock. I'll believe it when I see the schedule

Probably largely politics. Anything remotely right wing is radioactive on a college campus.

Is that why Notre Dame is still independent……..because of the whole Catholic thing?  I figured that had a role but what thinking just because a dude wants to sit in a corner and watch doesn’t equal a boycott from The Sun Belt…..

Re: AAC raiding cusa of 6 more teams.

The ACC would take ND in a heartbeat.

Unlike whatever denomination Liberty is, Roman Catholicism is actually perceived as pleasantly left-of-center by our overlords at the mothership.

Isn't CUSA headquartered in Metro Dallas?

Yes…….and so is Michael’s Craft Store, our latest sponsor. Judy’s team will only go as far as an electric scooter will take you when trying to secure partners for sponsors. The Globe Life annual deal was done for a whopping $75K. That’s right. They went to the guy that drops 8 figures with The Rangers and asked him for 75K for a year of sponsorships, 25K off the original ask. Michael’s probably got it for 50% off………

We all have faith that Judy will keep everything together.

The LaTech truck parked behind her is fitting.
They have got to be in a panic over there if all the rumblings are true.

Judy frantically working....LOL, SMH

"One aspect in C-USA's favor is the $4 million exit fee. If nine schools left, that would add $36 million to help entice new members. C-USA commissioner Judy MacLeod has been frantically trying to keep her existing members together while reaching out to candidates to replace those schools that left, multiple sources told CBS Sports.

There has been contact between C-USA and McNeese State from the Southland Conference and Sam Houston of the WAC, sources told CBS Sports. Like James Madison, those are FCS schools that would require an NCAA-mandated multi-year transition process to FBS.

"She's getting calls from every aspiring FCS program," said a source from one of those schools."

At some point, you get exposed and Judy only has herself to blame. Now she has to earn a paycheck that’s about to take a serious cut. Imagine her conversations with La Tech right now. Their previous AD put them in a terrible situation before leaving for Vandy.

I promise fans at schools like ECU and Tulsa are seeing that money isn’t everything right now. Just read their message boards. When Memphis and possibly SMU leave within the next 18-24 months they will feel it even more. This is the best choice and it played out perfectly for USM.

So which was the worse case of being incompetent, asleep at  wheel, bad decisions.....

USM from 2012 until now... 6 coaches, 3-4 presidents, 3,4 ADs?

CUSA from 2012 until now .... losing 12 teams, horrible tv deals, Judy?

So when we are in a conference with App State and James Madison….and you attend a football game at their stadium…and they invite you to play cornhole during pregame festivities….DON’T…they have a different way of looking at things…just saying.

App State's message board is called "Yosef's Cabin." If you go there don't drop the soap.
