Time to Start the Canadian Cannon

Develop a pure pocket passer this season so we don’t have to learn on the fly next year and waste next season as well. Griggs is athletic enough to still be a big part of our offense.

Explain this one more, champ. Do we even have a Canadian QB? And does an attack based on forming a pocket really work in college anymore?

I guess you could argue that it would work if we executed it well, since no one else is doing it.

“If” he is the best true passer we have and he was sooooooooo close to being named starter why not get him real game experience so he can be our QB for the next 3.5 years. Move Griggs into another role in the offense. I would use Damien Carter as a great example from our past but that would be a poor example. Why have a solid QB on the team just sitting there if we can use this season to improve our chances next season?

I don't know much about that bongarting formation, but it sounds like something our defense studied in their pregame répertoire last week.

BTW:  We are in no position to save anybody for anything. Work him in.

So the saviors for a fading SUNWACUSA program are a freshman quarterback who was all county one week in Florida, a coaching staff that thought Datoo was a D1 QB, and an AD who's billet point so far is a good relationship with the flamingo farmer?
