Enough of the bullshit, let's talk football boys!

My immediate concerns are the qb position.  We know from last year what losing your main guy feels like.   This will be a difficult year.  Hand tough.   With that said, you dont win here against this pitiful ass cusa, pack your bags.

7-5. Losses to UK, UTSA, LaTTTech, Tennessee, and Marshall.

I will say that the game at ULM screams TTT. Weird atmosphere, the town smells like shit (though we should be used to that), and a team we're not really familiar with that will be fired up to play us.

it will be interesting to see how hop responds this year.  I gave him a passing grade last year, but improvement is needed for sure.  We shall see......

As you know Beers, it's a line of scrimmage game. My main concern is the 3 newbs on the O Line. If the O line can pass protect and run block then the new QB's will do just fine, otherwise it will not be pretty.

Much like the quarterback position, Erik Losey’s group doesn’t have much in the way of experience. Outside of seniors Devin Farrior and Jerry Harris, there are sophomores Ty Pollard and Drake Dorbeck and freshman Arvin Fletcher currently penciled in as starters. Behind them, mostly freshmen and junior college transfers. Maybe the unit will be talented enough to negate the lack of experience. But counting on that is a perilous notion.

The starting offensive line has solidified pretty well during preparations for the Sept. 2 season opener against Kentucky: Left tackle — redshirt sophomore Drake Dorbeck (6-6, 320), left guard — Fletcher, center — redshirt senior Devin Farrior (6-4, 304), right guard — redshirt senior Jerry Harris (6-3, 302) and right tackle — redshirt sophomore Ty Pollard (6-6, 315).

Redshirt senior Tyler Stutzman (6-4, 275) was expected to be the starting center leaving spring practice, but he battled through an illness early in fall camp and now sets up to be a versatile sub who can fill in at a variety of positions.

Would be nice to see the kind of offense and defense we had in 88-89. I'm hopeful that Coach Hopson is ready to make a good leap in his second year.
