This team is worthy of Hawaii.....

Re: Bowl Watch

Hoping for that mythical matchup with FSU at the Indy...even tho a 5-7 FSU team would curb stomp the shit out of a Hopson coached team.

Pretty much my thoughts. It reminds me of Hopson's bowl. Better to play a real bowl against someone who people have heard of than engage in another G5 mutual masturbation session. Even if you lose by 10, hell, you actually rejoined the world of major college football for a few hours.

Re: Bowl Watch

if the seminole thing doesn't happen I hope they go to the bahamas. the kids would love that and we have never been and I would certainly book a cruise that week to go over there as I have never been to the bahamas either. I hear it's better in the bahamas.

how could anyone complain about going to play a bowl game in the bahamas? but most of our fans will. only our fans would complain about that. roll

The President of that bowl is Richard Giannini, and most of us won't be able to go. I don't blame people if they don't want the team to go there

well dang, you've started complaining about it already. tongue why wouldn't most be able to go? a cruise is actually very cheap. a flight over there isn't that costly either. you'd rather go back to new orleans?

Well, we played a bowl game in Boise once, so I can't complain too much about a bowl in the Bahamas. That said, I can see where some people might find going to a bowl game that's 1) on a (somewhat) distant island and 2) run by Richard Giannini to be a form of heresy.

Re: Bowl Watch

I think it's going to be Bahamas. Cue the meltdown.

If not, I hope it's not New Orleans. I love NOLA, but I'm sick of playing there. But the TTT fans love it. Close trip and we get to play some shit-tier Sun Belt school and pad our record.

I know people want FSU, Georgia Tech, or Louisville in Shreveport, but any of those teams are going to kill us. I'd prefer Houston or SMU in Frisco or St. Pete.

Re: Bowl Watch

Birmingham vs AAC maybe? SEC won't be able to fill that spot.

Why? Just too many teams above us in the pecking order who don't want to go to the Bahamas?

I'd have no problem with the Bahamas trip if my passport weren't expired. Needing a passport to go to the Bahamas is a post 9/11 thing, I think. So is having scrolling text on the bottom of the TV screen 24/7, which I could definitely live without.

Re: Bowl Watch

Per P. Magee: "Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl (Dec. 21) — Southern Miss (7-4) vs. South Florida (9-1) — I like the Golden Eagles to win at Marshall on Saturday and improve their bowl prospects. This won't be an easy trip for USM fans, but it would make for an intriguing matchup with a Top 25 USF squad."

Old Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl. Played Louisville there in 2010.
