South Alabama might bring in Chip Lindsey. He'd kick ass there.

John Grass from Jacksonville State is their primary target. Dude only knows how to win and USA is looking to copy what Clark has done at UAB by shaking the same JSU tree.

State fans think they're bringing in Monken.

I like the guy that said Monken left USM because we ain't got no gosh-darn fan support. Fucking idiots. That is the State mindset though. They said the same thing about how we got left out of the AAC. Yeah, then how did Tulsa, Tulane, and SMU get in? DUMBASSES.

I could easily see that happening.....

do they sell red bull and vodka in starkpatch.....if not, that will be a stipulation in that contract......

I miss Monk.....my kinda guy....

Re: Wow, plenty of coaching jobs available.....and maybe more.

"Monken with a good DC and we'll be fine."

where have I heard this before, Monken is a below average coach, OC and judge of talent. I'm not even going to list all the reasons for what I just said, if you know football then you will agree with that statement. Bringing in that "lead foot" QB for a year who was the worst QB I've ever seen play at USM, I say The Worst,  covers all three of my points.

So who goes where?  Let's see who is the smart one on this board......

Rumors say.........(not my picks)

Arkansas: Auburn HC Gus Malzahn could choose to leave and return home to the Razorbacks.

Auburn: If Malzahn leaves, expect FSU’s Jimbo Fisher to be high on the list.

Florida: It’s Florida vs. UCLA for Chip Kelly at the moment. Expect Oregon’s Willie Taggart and UCF’s Scott Frost to be next on the list.

Georgia Southern: Anyone who runs the triple option, for starters. Godfrey reports Army offensive coordinator and Georgia native Brent Davis should be high on the list.

Nebraska: Former Huskers QB Scott Frost has taken UCF from 0-12 to a New Year’s Six run in two years, but Nebraska’s also considering the triple option.

Ole Miss: “Ole Miss has interest in Memphis HC Mike Norvell, USF HC Charlie Strong, and Oregon’s Willie Taggart,” Godfrey reports.

Oregon State: Cal OC Beau Baldwin is reportedly the clear favorite.

South Alabama: Expect to see USC OC Tee Martin, a Mobile native, mentioned a lot.

Tennessee: The public’s most talked-about potential option is once again somehow Jon Gruden. Add Mississippi State HC Dan Mullen and Ohio State DC Greg Schiano among potential normal names.

Texas A&M: SMU HC Chad Morris, an alum, has been mentioned here for years. The Aggies are reportedly interested in Dabo Swinney and Jimbo Fisher, which ain’t happening.

Texas Tech: Usually the first name thrown around: TCU assistant Sonny Dykes, a former head coach who’s the son of longtime successful TTU HC Spike Dykes and a major member of Mike Leach’s tree.

UTEP: Here are a few names. Likely an assistant or FCS coach with Texas and/or Mountain Time Zone ties who can score points.

Gus would be nuts to leave for the Hogs job.

Jimbo ain't going anywhere.  Anywhere.

Jimbo Fisher was just hired as the A&M Head Coach.

Re: Wow, plenty of coaching jobs available.....and maybe more.

Apparently the coach at Memphis has a massive gambling addiction that is putting up red flags for P5 programs. I'm glad our old buddies in Shelby County don't give a shit about that.

Ole Miss might hang on to Luke.

Whatever else happens, leave it to Tennessee and Ole Miss to completely fuck up their hires, and Miss State will play it safe, bringing in a non-controversial hire who can get the job done.

Why do some schools need to make a splash?
